Richard Fitzwilliams FILM SPECIALITIES AND FAVOURITES I specialise in epics, historical films and war films as well as films featuring royalty as I am also a royal commentator and have seen the vast majority of the best known films in these categories. When I was Editor of International Who's Who I chose the names annually added for films and theatre and have met many of our top actors. I am a commentator on awards ceremonies such as the Oscars, Globes and BAFTAS and have often been used since the 1990s by the BBC News Channel for the Oscars and frequently by CNN (for Globes and Oscars in 2012), previously by Sky News and ITV News and recently by Al-Jazeera as well as numerous radio stations at home and abroad. I review films weekly for Talk
Radio Europe which broadcasts to expatriates in Spain, Siren FM (Lincoln) and also in my Artscene
column in The London and UK Datebook. In 2012 I wrote 'Jewels
in the Crown' about royalty on screen. (http://www.express.co.uk/FEATURES/EXPRESSYOURSELF) I often do obituaries on various TV channels such as BBC News Channel, CNN, Voice of America and Sky News and also for radio when a famous actor dies. I did 8 obituaries of Dame Elizabeth Taylor (see www.talksport.co.uk/.../richard-fitzwilliams-pays-tribute-elizabeth-taylor), Siren FM (weekly, Lincoln) I have lectured on War on Screen at the National Army Museum and done an hour long international phone in on this topic for Voice of America.
